3rd Gen antenna ... what's the name of this part?

I just bought a '01 SR5 but it didn't have an antenna on it. Does anyone know the name of the part I'm looking for ? It does have the power antenna motor, but not the antenna itself or the surround for it. Any suggestions on where to buy these parts? Thanks!

Or check ebay. These power antennas are notorious for going out so there are a TON of them on ebay.

Also, what are your intentions with your 4Runner? If you are into offroading and plan on doing any trail runs or anything, you may want to look into the Tacoma whip antenna mod. Basically you replace the factory power antenna with the more durable whip style antenna from the Tacoma.

If you are not into offroading then I would just replace the power antenna mast and antenna and call it a day.

go with the tacoma whip mod. its easy to install and not that expensive to buy. go to the partznet.com add on the top of the page and they sell every part for toyotas. you can even look it up by part number. the part number you want to buy is:
antenna assembly- 86300-35090. look up that part number and it has everything you need to do an install. it has the antenna and mount. by doing this youll never have to worry about the other one breaking in a car wash (happened to my wife in my truck) or it getting stuck up or down. its all ways up.

upper part is the mast

If you are not into offroading then I would just replace the power antenna mast and antenna and call it a day. [/B][/QUOTE]

trd4runnin is answering your question

Mast is the upper section that appears out of the hole and disappears back into the antenna hole.

I broke mine in the car wash and immediately took it to the dealership. They were able to "grab" the antenna as it rose up out of the hole and match it up to a new mast.

If you are not sure what you are doing keep your radio head unit on CD until you are ready to do the fix. You could be causing worse damage to the power antenna.
