so i looked all over in this and out of this forum and could not find any advice in changing out the Serpentine Belt and ac belt. HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP
somewhere there should be a belt tensioner, with a 14 or so size bolt on it, crank that tensioner and it will loosen the belt, and once its off that part it will just fall off ever pulley
Never ask a girl if shes sick, she might not be wearing any make up. - lets just say she went storming off.
Never tell your wife she looks tired, they tend to hit and say that means she looks ugly. (weird logic i know)
The belts are pretty easy to change. First, I would take off the fan. There are 4 bolts and it comes right off - also, take off the fan shroud. There are 4 bolts along the outside of the shroud and two clips halfway down the lip of the shroud so you can pull it off and then take the fan out.
The belts are held tight by tension screws. The AC one is below the crank on the front of the motor. You will see a little pulley between the crank pulley and the A/C pulley. Loosen the bolt in the middle of the small pulley and then loosen the bolt below the pulley. This will relieve the tension on the belt and allow you to take it off. To take it off and put it back on, you will need to hand crank the motor by putting a socket on the crank bolt and turning it while you take off/feed the belt onto the pulleys.
The other two belts work with same way, the alternator belt has the tension set by pivioting the whole alternator, the ps pump pivots the whole pump assembly. For the PS pump, the set bolt is below the pulley with the adjusting arm attached to the front of the block. The Alternator adjusting arm is below the alternator attached to the front of the block by the thermostat.
