Both pns and htm are different types of sound deadening material. PNS is just a universal term that stands for peel-n-stick. It's typically very pliable...which makes it very easy to mold over uneven surfaces. HTM however, is not as easy to mold. It's better suited for large flat areas such as the roof.

I covered my entire floorboard and cargo area with PNS that I purchased from
McMaster-Carr.com. Part # 9640T2. This is the same stuff Bob used in that door panel write up I posted earlier.

Click Me. This stuff makes a huge difference in blocking out road noise. I just need to get around to applying it to my doors and roof to make it even quiter in the cab than it already is.
