Tire making leaking sound?

i just got done doing some light mud riding and when i got home my front tire was making a noise like air was leaking from it. my friend started messing with the valve stem and the noise stopped. all he said was it was already probably leaking a little and that since it was wet from the mud that the water was just making it bubble causing the noise. should i be worried about this or is he right?

Tire Pressure Gauge

1) See if there might be crud in your valve that's causing the leak by blowing out a little air.

2) Replacing a valve on the tire isn't that big a deal. Stuff happens.

More than likely the cause is small debris in the valve. Looks like it's already fixed so no worries. If it continues there is no need to replace the entire valve, just replace the valve core.

take some soapy water in a spray bottle, or in a cup, doesnt really matter how you do it and spray or pour the soapy water on the valve stem, that way you can atleast find out where the air is coming from. do it to the whole tire if you have to. then do the appropriate to fix leak, take out valve core if that is leaking, wiggle valve stem before taking it to a tire shop.
