is this a good full kit-and good place to buy
For a 3rd gen 4runner. 2-2.5 inch lift.
Is this place a good place to buy from.
Is the full kit really a full kit.
Will this kit improve offroading [only looking to upgrade my stock performance, not go from stock to jungle worthy].
Will this kit be ok to still tow a couple thousand pounds.

lift
I live in Kingston RI and have the performance product 1inc lift with H&R progressive rate springs with bilstien heavy duty shocks and love this set up!!!! no more floaty feel when on high way and don't bottom out on big bumps either. my fried has the day star lift on his truck 2.5 in front and 2in in back. he has had problems with that this the sway bar links have sapped a few time in the front. not enough give when taken off road or driving up steep angles. also depend on how much you want to spend!!!!!!!! let me know what you do if you haven't done it already

Cool you're right down the street from me.. Well every where in RI is right down the street
How does that day star kit compare to the OME?? Is it the height [2.5 inch] that is snapping the sway bar links or is it just a bad kit???
Where did you buy your 1 inch lift and if I was going to be doing mild offroading is just the 1 inch really worth while?

The Day Star kit seems to be one of good quality. He bought it from 4wheelparts.com; I think he paid 250.00 for it which is way way to expensive!!!!! same kit on E-bay rite now for 62.00 dollars. how many miles are on your 4Runner when we put his kit on, his truck had about 120,000 miles on it give or take. he also put bigger tires on it at the same time.(motto metal MO951 black 16x8) bigger tires too. that being the case his front axle shafts broke both sides couldn't handle the extra stress. just something to consider! the axle shafts were replaced and not one problem! just old and worn out that and the added stress of a lift and bigger tires. oh he also replaced his shocks at the same time ,I forget if it was recommended doing it with the lift kit or not anyway do not buy Rancho!!!!!! I have Bilstein shocks love them. also recommend replaceing factory coils with either new OEM ones or something that Day star recommends. man nothing is as simple as advertised. the me know what you end up with.

Oh forgot I got the one inch lift from performance products for trucks. this was about a year and a half ago maybe longer. I did this because when I bought my 4Runner it was in desperate need of new shocks and coils all around. so I upgraded them instead of buying OEM. that being the case I love them the are great on the high way. no boaty fell also less body roll and great off road! the springs being progressive rate have a lot to do with that. sokes up the small bumps and has enough reserve for the big ones. also the valving on the bilsteins are great. I fell I got the best of both worlds with this set up. Dont think this kit is available any more 4wheel parts bought out performance products for trucks and kit was dropped have seen the on e-bay now and again. I also only do light off roading no rock crawling or deep mudding. but that is because I need bigger better tires and that !inch lift will help me accomplish that.

yes the Day Star lift is just urethane blocks. I guess it can be considered a complete lift. if you reuse all your original parts. not a good idea! and not recommended!
