Just bought a 99 SR5, sunroof, factory racks, tow hitch, 4x4 V6, brush guard. Great interior. Exterior is nice too, but rear bumper is rusted maybe from pulling boat and backing into the water. There is also some other rust in the rear, but nothing too serious. I need to find replacement bolts for the fill and drain plugs on the rear diff and try to prohibit and protect the rear axle. 140k miles for $5700.
2001 Toyota Limited bought in June '03 with 25K miles on it. $17000. It now was 130K miles on it. Runs fantastic. Needs new rotors though. Had to replace the radiator on it 5K miles ago.
Runs fantastically.
Had a black 89 Toyota P/U 4x4 (22RE) that I paid $8989 for new that got me to 155K miles with no work to it either.
I love Toyota Trucks. Would never buy anything else. Ever.
Bought mine brand new in 1997. Sticker was $34,000 paid $31,000. Now has 128,000 miles on it and running strong. I have never bought a used car besides my 66' Mustang. We pretty much keep our cars till they die, so I figure I am getting my use out of them.
From the other posts on this thread, I can expect a good long life out of my 4Runner. That is good news with this sh....t economy!
