license plate lights??? help me
i need to replace both licens plate bulbs. i took the two screws out of both lights and got one fixture to come down, but i couldnt figure out how to get it a part and the other one wouldnt even come down out from under the trim on the lift gate i need help figuring these retartedly designed things out!!!

the clear part literally just comes off.
and inside is a clear 194 bulb.

i have tried to pry the clear part off but it seems to be stuck i figured it would come apart there but it almost seems sealed together any suggestions

Umm...not really. ChildrenOfBodom has it correct. I had to kind of force mine to come down and it was slightly difficult to remove the lens.

they have a rubber trim on them, but nothing that should stick. give em a little force and see what happens
there is a small peg that sticks out of the housing into the clear plastic to keep it aligned properly, but it shouldn't stick at all

Ya, the guys previous posts are correct. When you don't have to mess with things, that's what happens. Try a little WD-40 that always helps. I suggest WD-40 a lot!

it really was that simple i just started pulling and finally they came apart it was really easy the lenses were completly caked with dirt on the inside so i cleaned them up and bought new lights then put em back in.... now only if i could fix that messed up 3rd brakelight

It seems like people don't tailgate me at night anymore, I wonder why? Now I just need to stick a Hella 500 back there for when they do.
