New Bumper Ends

Tomorrow I have to take my T4R into the body shop for a little work. While there I am going to ask for a quote to replace the original bumper ends. Any idea how much the parts and labor should cost?

Thanks

Expect at least a couple hundred with labor.

Labor shouldn't be that much. If it is I'm sure you could do it yourself.

I think price for the ends will depend if they get ones from the dealer or not.

Mine will cost around $400 for both rear bumper ends. I will be going through a shop that I have used before for some body work. The reason it is a little high is because mine is a Limited painted silver cladding. If it is just the chrome piece, it is pretty easy to do by yourself. Also, you could just buy the primered ones from the dealer and paint it yourself, if you had a friend that worked at an auto body paint shop. That would be the cheapest route to go.

Thanks guys. I have an SR5 so they are chrome. While I appreciate your confidence that I could do this myself I have to admit that 1.) I can bugger up the simplest mechanical job; and, 2.) I don't have the time and equiptment.

The shop I am working with is very good and very reasonable. They don't have to be replaced, but they are rusting (shock). I may just wait until this spring, depending on how much the rest of the work will cost (my wife had a close encounter with a guard rail this past weekend).

So, around $200 is what I can anticipate?

Thanks,

Jay

You guys were right on: $188/end, installed. They will guarantee the part as long as I own the vehicle so if the rust out again I'll get new ones.

Thanks again.
