Stress on 4runner parts?
So here is the deal, i'm kinda a newbee as far as lifting is concerened, i know some info, but okay, i have a 99 SR5 right now. It has around 153,000miles. I have a few questions. The lift i'm getting more than likely is the Toytec 3inch suspension coils on front and back and also the 1inch toytec body lift. I will get the diff. drop kit Toytec also offers. And I will replace the rear shocks with longer ones. Tires will be 33x12.50's with either a 15x8, 15x10, 16x8, 16x10 wheel, haven't decided on size yet.
But my QUESTION is with all this done will it cause any added wear on the drivetrain or anything else on the car, i'm not going to be doing any major off roading, just minor little trails and mainly it will be my daily driver. I know with the CV joints there is a chance of problems there, but i have that handeled, is there really anything else i need to worry about having a lot of wear on and stress with this new lift and bigger tires?? Thanks for your input!

The lift won't really put too much stress on the truck besides the CV shafts. Add to your list the Panhard Bar extension, as it'll align the rear axle with the truck after the lift.
The tires will probably cause the most stress. They are wider, which will put more leverage on the hub, heavier which will do work on the bearings, ball joints and basically anything that holds the weight. You will also see an EXTREME drop in fuel mileage with the tires.
My truck, with the 225/75/15 stockers got an average of 21mpg. Now with the 285/70/17's, I average 12mpg.
0-60 times will suffer. Hills will take some extra throttle. All the extra strain will do work to the transmission/ujoints/and other drivetrain components.
IMO, if the truck is gonna be primarily a pavement pounder/trail runner stick with 31x10.50 tires and just the 3" suspension lift.

yes
Tie rod ends, ball joints, steering rack
are some of the issues that spring to my mind when the unsprung weight is increased at your front end.
You should likely have alignments done more frequently than a non lifted ride to improve your tire wear.
16 x 10s would need severe backspace to fit. I don't think many of us would recommend that wheel size.
16 x 8 is a common choice.
If you are only running the 15" brake package now you would likely want to upsize your brakes when you upgrade your tire and wheel combo.
My suggestion would be to try one piece at a time.
Body lift may get you the looks you want at a lot less hassle.
Just my 2cents.

Okay sweet, thanks guys for your input, it helps alot! I've decided to just go slowly with it, get the lift first and see how i like that for a while then make other decsions bout the truck later on. Thanks again!
