Depends on many things. I could argue that it's better to go through an engine (essentially rebuild it) as part of putting a supercharger on.

There's so many variables but why was the engine rebuilt? What was done during the rebuild? New bearings, oil pump, balanced, new pistons, what level of valve job, how many miles were on the engine if it wasn't a 100% rebuild?

you are in the correct forum, I was told that as long as it passes a compression test you should be good to go!

I see. But can the extra sudden stress of a supercharger cause a certain part to crack, fragment, tear, etc. ??? You know, since I already have a decade+ old engine n the parts.

I have not been able to install my supercharger yet! As soon as I have the $$ and time I plan to have my timing belt changed and compression check done. the results of that will determin when I put the S/C on. Now as for stresses if your engine was rebuilt properly(toyota O.E. preferred) you shouldnt have any problems.

I agree. As long as its done correctly, you should have no issues. Do not use any non toyota internals as aftermarket crap usually doesnt hold up as well. Use a reputable mechanic who knows what he is doing and use a reputable machine shop for the machine work. Sloppy machine work can lead to early failure
