tranny shudder?

Purchased 2002 Toyota 4runner SR5 with 123000 on it. Love everything about it, except after about 1,000 miles there might be a transmission shudder. I noticed the tranny might be "hunting" between 30-40 mph and around 60 mph depending on load. I am a former VW owner with "drive by wire" gas pedal, so I am hoping this is nothing. Anybody with similar symptoms or experiences?

I'm new to the forum as well, and am in the process of replacing my transmission currently, I'm curious what do you mean to say when you say "there might be a shudder in 1,000 miles"?

I've driven the 4runner for about 1,000 miles, becoming more familiar with it. You know after you drive a vehicle for awhile, you start to notice things you didn't before. I don't know if this is something to worry about or not. It shifts fine any other time, and under heavy acceleration no "symptoms" like a shudder.
