Another New Dude on the Block.
Hey folks, my name is Nels and I'm a first time 4runner owner. I've actually been snooping around this forum for about a year... searching for questions that I've had. It's been very helpful.
Anyways, I thought I'd introduce myself and show you what I picked up earlier today.
Here's the slightly dirty and very dusty interior.
Pretty stoked on these rollers... I haven't seen many of them on 4runners... I usually see the split 3 spoke or the other 5 spoke. They'll probably be satin black within a couple of weeks.
Here are my other toys... even though the celica and the coupe are on there way out.
I'm a big SCCA fan and try to race as much as I can. I like working on cars... however, the shear weight of the 4runner... and the fact that the motor is in a v shape and has 2 extra cylinders is strange to me.
I plan on doing a whole bunch of "tune-up" type stuff (timing belt, waterpump, plugs, K&N filter... it's a dd and won't spend a whole bunch of time in the dirt) as well as monitoring devices... and perhaps some un-needed, but fun stuff to be added relatively soon.
Be ready for some annoying questions 4r.org!

Interesting 4runner. I've seen a few of those mirrors before, but never those wheels or upholstery.

Great find.
Yeah, those side mirrors are definitely where it's at.
And the wheels look nice.

Chrome package eh? Well... maybe I won't satin black the wheels just yet, especially if they are relatively rare.
ric... it'll be a dd and tow vehicle for my "race" car. I installed a 4.778 r&p in the black car... so I do 70mph at about 5 grand. I want to start racing around my state... so I thought I'd get something that I could tow a small car... possible tour in... and enjoy Montana's wilderness and jeep trails. It'll be a mild build over the next few years.
LINY... the red car will be gone by the end of the month... I'm just waiting on another $400 from a buddy of mine. The guy who bought the Celica still has about $2000 to pay on it, thus the "on their way out." Unfortunely for now, my and my lady have 5 cars in an apartment complex... yeah... we're "those" people.
Thanks for the kind comments dudes... can't wait to experiment and tear into this thing a bit. It feels like a very fun vehicle! -Nels

Welcome!
You got yourself a pretty uncommon package. I like it though! I have seen one or two of these on the internet, but never in person.
