Chance to buy another 4R
One of my buddy's brothers is moving to Paris for his new job and he so happens to drive a 4Runner that he needs to get rid of. And man is it a doozie. Here's the specs on it:
1999 Limited 4WD
Black and tan exterior
3" OME lift
1" RB body lift
OEM Supercharger (Gen 2)
URD Fuel Mods/7th injector
Full Budbuilt underbody armor
RR Locker
ARB Taco bumper with IPF lights
Custom stereo
265/75 Revo's
The only problem he has with it is the 1-2 shift. I'd have to address the problem most likely, with the valve body upgrade. The truck has like 80k on it. He needs to sell, what do you think I could offer him for it?
If I don't end up getting it I could point him in other directions to someone here if they'd like.

That sounds like a sweet rig!
If it were mine I wouldnt sell it for less than $14K. Thats just me. With only 80K miles, a supercharger, and a locker, that is one rare runner. Not too mention it has a lift and armor.

I agree with Snow however with the 1-2 shift issue I would say in the 10-12k range. I can say that if you look in the off-road section there is a Thread of New 3rd Gen. That is a professionaly built rig he picked up for 8.5k range but has another 100k over and above your friends.

I stand corrected it has about 120k on it. The SC430 he's selling has 80k and I got the two figures switched up.
The stereo system is a small sub in the back with an Alpine touch screen head unit and Alpine speakers in the doors. Nothing loud but it sounds very crisp and it has iPod integration like my 4R has too - something I really like. Anyone know how much the transmission valve body mods are?

Realistically the market price with mileage and mods in consideration it's worth about $10k.

Had a chance to snag some more pics and drive the 4Runner, and a couple updates:
Mileage is 126k
Bumper is TJM not ARB
Lights are Hella not IPF
Front windows are tinted to 20%
Alpine flip out head unit with DVD player, 2 7" screens in head rests
He's out of town but I think he's asking in the 9k range?
Who wouldn't love to see this in the driveway every morning?
And good GOD this thing rips. I might just have to snag it up if no one else does
