New Exhaust system installed finally (pic very heavy)

New Exhaust system was installed this past weekend. Man am I glad I payed someone else to install the headers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got quoted for 5 hours took 12 and this guy knows what he is doing. I did take some extra steps though, I bought extra gasket material for the crossover pipe and had some springs left over from the OBX headers I never installed. The TRD headers come with springs and locking nuts for the collector pipes but not for the rear cross over pipe which has been known to leak. I wanted everything to be spring loaded and locked up so they could not pull apart and leak. I also doubled up on all gaskets the whole way down and back to the tail pipe and used a shit load of RVT copper silicon gasket sealer. Did I over do it maybe But I don't ever want to go back and try to replace or repair anything by not doing it right the first time! Also if you have a California emission 4runner with dual cats and plan on installing TRD headers do not buy a direct fit cat for the front you will be cutting it up on both ends and having to weld on the TRD flange to the front of the cat. Buy buying a universal should save you 1-200 dollars depending on the brand you purchase.I purchased catco which are the most expensive. ok I have to many pics so I have to cut it down to 11.

Looks awesome! I'm STILL looking to do this. I'm just leary of how 'bolt-on' this stuff really is. i'm not changing headers, just from the cat to the tailpipe. I only have one cat, and it seems really straight forward..... (that's how all my projects start though...)

I got quoted like <$450 for an eastern catalytic, all cats, bosal muffler and bosal tailpipe. shouldn't be that hard, right? everything unbolts and goes back straight, i hope. will take pics of my self-install... that's always fun..

anyways, hope your ride is doing well. have you had any codes? better mpg? anything wrong, not feel right?

nothing wrong so far. and no codes or leaks anywhere. the only thing that bothers me a little is the Jardine exhaust is a little to loud for my taste. plus the nosy neighbors have commented about it twice. so probably will be taking it off and selling it. if you get the direct replacement parts should bolt up into place with no problems what so ever. noticed slim power gain nothing to right home about. but plan on puting the supercharger in so headers were the way to go in that respect.

I reused my stock piping when I put in the magnaflow cat and spinteck muffler, it was a very cost effective way to do things and I great great results. Extra 1-2 MPGs and feels much better on power.
