A couple of questions...

Ive searched through numerous threads and cant find a clear answer to a few questions that i have..:

1) FJ 80 coils for the rear of our runners, do you use front or rear coils from the 80 and where can i find them?

2) OME stuff from toytec, what is the difference in the black OME front springs and the silver Eibach front springs?

3) Shocks: I tow a good bit so i want something heavy duty in the rear and i hope to get a custom front bumper eventually. What would you reccomend?

4) Does anyone have any pictures of a 3 inch lift with 265/75's?

5) Where could I go to find some stock 99 coils?

sorry about all the questions but hopefully this will also help out some other folks trying to find answers about a similar setup..

Smile FJ80 Coils

I came across mine on eBay. They were listed as off 96 FJ80 and i believe off the front but not sure. The kit was $200 with coil springs, strut spacers, and front diff drop kit. It did however come in a "Old Man Emu" box which is a brand/company that sells aftermarket springs. In my opinion, this is a great set-up to get a nice riding, even lift. Rides better than stock now, even with 285 Nittos I put on.

FJ80 is a 94-97 LC. You'll be using the FRONT LC coils in the REAR of your 4R. There are 3 different sizes: LC 2WD- about 3" lift, LC 4WD- about 4.5" lift and LC 4WD SE- about 5.5" lift. They can be somewhat hard to find, junkyards may help. Also search LC forums such as ih8mud.com.

I've never heard of Eibach springs for our 4Runners...I would think Eibach springs would be lowering springs, if anything...

OME makes shocks to go with their kits, you can also find lift shocks on eBay. I found my pair of Skyjacker socks for $50.

here's a pic of my 4Runner with a 2.5" spacer lift and 31x10.5R15 tires

Brand new: Toyota dealer // Used: check the classifieds on here or eBay

99 coils

Sonoran steel sells a kit that's just stock shocks and coils from a 99 4wd. They call it system 3.0
