LC coils lift kit install write-up ome
hey guys the other thread got a little murky cause i'm an idiot and didn't know what all i had going on, well i 90% of it in my hands now and can start a good write up thread here's a link to the old one.
lift kit purchase complete-LC coils
this is a write up for a '99 4runner using land cruiser coils and old man emu suspension parts. keyword. lol
ok here's a pic of what i got in my hands so far.
(1) set of OME (old man emu) coils 882's
(2) sets of Land Cruiser-coils various years/heights
(2) sets of OME shocks
(1) set of 3/4" spacer plates
(1) set of longer studs
(1) diff drop kit (on order)
(2) sets of new top plates (on order)
as you can see i have 2 sets of lc coils of different heights, my goal is to have a lifted & LEVEL ride
@ this point i am unsure of the years these (LC) coils have been pulled from and will either update the thread when i find out or one of you may chime in if you know.
here's some pics of what i got so far
pic's showing different heights of coils
also would like to thank carl @
http://www.justdifferentials.com/
for the parts and help through this, see ya Christmas buddy!

you're not gonna need those top plate spacers
I have 882's and 9-wrap LC coils and it sits level

do you have a body lift?
and what wheels are you running?
these are the main two things to consider when choosing tire size

I have some lc coils and shocks from a 91, and a full set of bilstein 5100 that have 99 trd tacoma coils on them. I can't wait to lift mine but still sorting out all the options. can't wait to see how yours turns out!

the izzard has some pics of his ride somewhere on here... dude elton how did u get the top plates on ur 882s? When my dad and my brother-in-law tried helping me get the upper arm low as it could go we still couldnt fit it with the spacers so i had to end up taking it out. I may just have to switch my 891s for some LC coils bc im sitting a little taller in the front i think.

yeah but my pics won't be of any use, i'm still saving up for tires and i'm leaving on a 5K miles road trip in two weeks so decided to hold off on the larger tires for fuel savings on the trip, so when i get back i'll be getting my lift put on and i'll do a full write up on it, the easiest way to get top plates on is with a good set of harbour freight spring compressors like these
Single Action Strut Spring Compressor
