so it's been a year, and yes I know I am bringing a thread "back to life" but I just have to ask how you are liking your ranchos and the my ride system? I am pretty sure I am going to go with that this next week so I am just curious... is it worth it?

Maybe check Toytec.com, that is where I got mine.

I'm also interested in how they have settled and if you have towed at all. I only have the 906s but will be upgrading the front soon. They have been on since Feb. with about 15,000 miles on them. My passenger side is about 3/4 lower than my driver side and I was wondering if you are seeing this as well? I know the driver side is a bit taller to account for the weight of the driver but I'm not sure how much taller it should be.

OME coils , 881's in front and 906's in the rear

Dear ; MR juiceboxer
I need you to tell more details about the characteristics of the OME coils , 881's in front and 906's in the rear (are they comfortable , stiff , soft , hard, the behavior of road ?
because you said the ride quality is significantly improved.

This is definitely one of the best mods I have done to the truck, right up there with the Tundra brake upgrade. The ride quality is extremely improved, no question about it. If you are thinking about this upgrade, do it! The height increase is very mild yet ride quality is significantly improved.

Ride height is measured from bottom of limited fender flare to ground W/full tank of gas and 265/65/17 tires

Ride height before

Driver Front 34 3/8"
Passanger Front 34 1/2"
Driver Rear 34"
Passanger Rear 34 1/4"

Ride Height after

Driver Front 35 1/2"
Passanger Front 35 1/2"
Driver Rear 36 3/4"
Passanger Rear 36 3/4"

Also note front spring have been driven for roughly 100 Mi before I installed the rear springs. I know the rear springs will settle some I don't know about the fronts. I will post updated measurements after settling.

Time for some pictures

Before
Sorry for the bad lighting, this picture was taken the morning of...

During, the fronts are in!

After

Old vs. new springs

The Obligatory glamour shot :P

I would like to bump this thread from the dead. I would also like to know about the improvements in ride quality as I am shopping around at the moment.

I did spring replacements 2 yrs ago to OME 880's and 906's. My old rears were sagging badly and hitting the bump stops on moderate pot holes.
My change was amazing! I ended up with a 2" lift. These are progressive springs, so as you load them they stiffen. I tow a sportboat, and it feels much more planted when towing. Before, if I went over a bump while towing, the back end would bounce and hit the bump stops... very disconcerting, not to mention, when I hitched up, the rear would drop significantly, with just the tongue load! On a gravel road and over wash board, the suspension absorbs the shock and doesn't sway and drift. With the old springs, hitting wash board, the truck would bounce and sway, the steering would become soft and imprecise with a general loss of control--- frankly quite scary!

When the kids rode in the back seats they constantly complained of a jarring ride over any bumps! No complaints after the replacement! Of course the shocks also make a huge difference. I think most people with this setup go with OME shocks or Billies. I went with Rancho 9000XL's adjustable shocks. They were a bit more expensive than Billies and in retrospect, if I did it again, I'd probably go with the Billies, as I felt only a small difference through the adjustment range.

Overall, It was an excellent decision! To this day, The truck still performs as well as the day I did the retrofit! Love it!

Trying to resurrect this thread again lol.

Did you use a trim packer for your 880s? How has the front height held up over the years?

After the Bilstein/OME lift, doing the Front to back and 2nd Gen extended sway bar endlinks really further improved the ride for me.

when you say the "extended" 2nd gen sway links, do you mean stock 2nd gen links that just happen to be longer than 3rd gen stock links ?

Yeah, theres a youtube vid that has the details if you do a quick google. I'm sure there are custom adjustable options as well but, the 2nd gen links are cheap and really helped take some of the head toss and stiffness out of the ride.
