Noisy Motor/pump

When I turn the engine off on my '00 3rd gen 4r, there's a loud whirring/thunking noise, from the passenger side of the engine bay. I think the process is normal but I know for sure it is way too loud, for both in the cab and outside. Any Ideas? I think it could possibly be the antenna motor (the antenna is permanently in the up pos.

Thanks,
-W

More details would be nice, Antenna motor still trying to push it up/ pull in down is probable only if the motor still works, but it would do that on start up too, does it make the aforementioned noise on start up?

That would be my guess is that its the antenna motor. just pull the plug on the motor itself if you dont plan on fixing it, no point really if its stuck up.

Where abouts is the plug?

How hard would it be to remove and replace with a whip antenna?

Thank you so much, you have no idea how annoying it is! It makes my rig sound like junk!
