Oh my..... Drooooll..
That is insane how much of a difference that makes!
Sorry but of course ive got another question...
To paint the black trim piece on top of the chrome piece on the front bumper, did you take the bumper apart, or did you just tape off the chrome?? Maybe you should do your license plate trim black to match your badges and the bumper piece.
Cant wait to do this and get rid of the faded grey!

I took the whole bumper apart for best results.
And it's funny... I was just thinking about doing the license plate surround, since it is the only gray left on the truck... I just don't want it to look tacky.

So much for all that bumper work. Gotta start all over again after I find a new one.
I went mistakenly into an eroded new ditch and smashed in the bumper and broke the signal lenses and mutilated the crash support. Good ol skid row plate saved the radiator, oil pan and other vitals.
Thanks to Yotatech's Tracmstr, I just went out and got his 2000 black limited bumper on the cheap. After much deliberation, I've decided I'm not gonna use the actual bumper part, but he gave me all of the harnesses for the lights, some OEM Hella fog lights/brackets (AWESOME!), OEM signal lights, and most importantly, the whole bumper support bracket assembly, etc. Just need to find me a chrome matching bumper/lower valance and I am good. Only reason I can't use the one he gave me is because it has holes for the fender flares. Should be picking one up in the morning.
More updates as they come, will have photos when I get the new bumper on (after plastidipping the valance of course)

How hard is it to remove the rear bumper cap? Because I've been looking into removing the back cap for a while now to repaint it, and you just so happened to do it! Haha

Small update:
I replaced my crappy Centric brand brake shoes with Toyota shoes and had the drums resurfaced. No more vibration from braking and performance seems better.
Also installed 4 wheeler's offroad 1/4 inch spacers. The front studs are shorter than the rear and still had 10 1/2 thread turns. Seems like a bit of vibration at speed... but it's weird because it literally stops for a minute then it will come back... I am not sure how that exactly works. Still, tires look better a bit more pushed out. (EDIT: 5/5/11, TOOK THEM OFF, THEY SUCK, GET THE BOLT ON TYPE.)
I was thinking of getting all of the tires rebalanced because the last shop who did it sucked at it pretty hard, but I can't blame them because two of my rims are bent. The tire guy at my dealership, I am sure is better.
As far as bumpers go, I got 3 front OEM bumpers. One bumper was given to me by driffter33, but I did not use it due to the holes for the Sport flares. A second, I traded for a $10 Starbucks giftcard with maclean216, which I took the chrome center portion from. It had a bit of rust on the inside and I wirewheeled it clean. The 3rd bumper is from Yotatech's Tracmstr, from a black 2000 Limited. It came with Hella Micro DE's and OEM brackets and I used it's upper valance. The bottom valance I bought from Certifit for $30.
I am still in the process of re-plastidipping the top and bottom valances. After then, I will assemble the bumper and mount the OEM Hellas, wire them up (my 4Runner did not come prewired, I bought an OEM light switch) and then new clear bumper lenses, then I think I should be good to go.
Pics then

I'll post a better set of pics later, but here's a cool pic with the new lights wired in.
I installed the new bumper and stuff (pictured here next to Kobe Bryant's S65, lol) and the bottom tow hook cover is still on order (should be in at the dealer tomorrow)
Also have new bumper lenses on order as well.
