Note (11/13/11): In case you're reading this post, please be aware that Magnaflow does NOT know how to make a proper exhaust system. This piece of crap, shown below, broke only months after install. If that wasn't bad enough, I replaced it two times before I gave up on this horrible company. Don't waste your time with their crap!
Wow. Thats a nice low tone. I would have expected less volume from a 24 incher. (the crash site - is that the 105 out by LAX?)
I'm very surprised myself, it sure doesn't sound like a 2.7 4 banger anymore. The volume is actually pretty good, but not so much where I'm attracting attention. A lot of the noise in the video is from the intake (which has seemed to become much louder since the exhaust, muahaha )
The crash site was the 55 North right between the 73 and 405 in Costa Mesa.

So i was reading through the thread and came across the sports hood stuff.
How much do you think it would be for me to change my original hood to that?
I have a 99 Limited, I really like that hood and also wouldn't mind getting some 3rd or 4th gen sports edition rims. How did you find those too?
BTW.....You have made some amazing progress on your T4R

The hood, to be honest, way too much money. If you're in a situation where your hood becomes damaged or needs to be repainted, then I would consider it. My situation led to my fender being replaced. In order to paint match my new fender, I had to have my hood matched with it. I didn't want to waste the chance of new paint on my old damaged hood so I dumped $56 on a new one from Certifit, which is actually a very good price. The insert though, it fits inside of the hole in the middle of the hood, cost $175 from Toyota. There's nowhere else that I have seen that makes the insert... so that's already $225. My insurance company paid for the paint, but I can only assume that would be $150ish from a body shop. You'd be looking at almost $400 for the hood, insert, and paint. If you have a color that has faded over time, and you wanted to match your fenders to the hood, you're looking into a lot more money.
I think you saw some of my older pictures, the set of wheels I had before my current ones are from an 02 Limited/Sport model. Those were good looking but they really just seemed too "mall crawlerish" if you will. The 4th gen sport 17s look really good, I've seen them on a few 4Runners and they look great. I had to go with the Tundra 17's. I bought them from my best friend's uncle after he switched his rims on his Tundra, so I lucked out on that one. They're available on craigslist here and there, in fact there is a set on Orange County craigslist right now for $450.

And thank you for the compliment!
Thanks for the info, and yeah I would get those, but I don't want to copy your style because I have the same color t4r as you lol. But I am planning on switching my tail lights to the LEDs I have some clear atezzia looking bullshit i wish i didn't buy, but my clear corners and clear turn signals were a great addition, and I have the same viper alarm as you......great minds think alike.
