Best Roof Rack ?

I can't decide between all the nice roof racks out there. Looking for a nice basket for all my camping gear. Might mount some lights on it. What is everybody using ??

I think the best one is the Yakima megawarrior, but is quite expensive. Then JAC show me the ROLA, and that one looks really nice and is a bit cheaper than yakima's. Those two are my top options.

best one hands down imo is the gobi rack with ladder, but that's $800 or something STUPID like that (not knocking those who bought knocking the company charging so much just to be able to say they are cool)

beyond that i like the surco's i have the yakima and just doesn't feel burly enough, that said it's all looks, my rack kicks ass and gets the job done for sure, just wish it looked a little more rugged.

I dont know which one is the best...but I like the Rola Basket...it looks sweet and the price is fair enough.

It really depends on what u want it for... they all good...but some of them just are to darn pricey

look at crazydubman's rig..he has the one I like " Rola"

I would say if you are looking for a full length Basket the Gobi is about the only choice but as mentioned it is really expensive. I personally have the 3rd gen specific BajaRack it sits nice and low since it replaces cross bars and slides into the channels. I really dont notice any additional noise from it. Super high quality materiel and finish. For a little less you can go with the Baja Rack Mule and mount it to the factory crossbars with u-clamps. It all depends on budget and use. I will attach some pictures or you can search on here for Baja rack or racks in general as this subject has been brought up a few times in recent months.

i'm a fan of my black widow rack. it was only like $100 but it definitely isn't the strongest or best rack out there. i strengthened it by adding some 1 inch angle iron to the bottom tube. now i have a really solid rack for like $120

another vote for GOBI, yes they are expensive, but VERY well worth it, if your going to be using it. they are located very close to me so I stopped in to check them out in person, after checking them out, talking to the staff, Im not putting anythign other than a GOBI on my rig
and No, I dont work for them, lol Id like to, lol

Search, dude...search.

I started this thread a few months back for just this purpose, it's like a menu for all the racks available:
Show us your rack!

I'm not one to ever use a top rack, but that full-length Gobi is the shit! It's the one I would get, if I needed a top rack. Second choice would be the longer BajaRack.

For easy to install and remove (about 5-10 minutes for 1 person) and uses the stock rack the Yakima Load Warrior is hard to beat and not too pricey.
