Body mounts

Do you reckon the original body mounts on a '98 are wore plum out? I was thinkin about gettin new ones. Thought about poly ones but read where they can make for a rough ride. How about original OEM stuff from Toyota that I assume are rubber?

You must mean bushings because the mounts are steel and welded to the frame and don't wear out, if anything the mounts could rust out. My bushings are fine on my '97. If yours are cracked or crumbling then it's time to replace. OEM are fine, but 4crawler.com has them for sale too. Not sure if they are poly or rubber, but it sin't going to effect the ride much either way IMO.

discuss a bit more

I presume you mean the ride is terrible? Most likely the springs are sprung, and you have rear sag, and your fronts may be pretty worn out also.

look at top of this very forum page 1

About rear sag...

if never done you could get them for free... weirder things have happened...
