Using rock sliders as step ups?

I took off my running boards a coupls of months ago and im wanting to get some rock sliders but since its my DD and only sees limited offroading, i was thinking about trying to angle the rock sliders downward to be used as step ups to imitate the dominator II for the FJ cruiser and tacomas.

I have been looking for an image of some sliders angled to where i might put them and so i borrowed this pic from Kregg. Hope u dont mind dude... If u guys dont like it then ill just put them on flat and use it that way.

So everyone plz tell me wat u think bc im not a fan of the running boards and nerf bars but need something for my gf and other ppl to use to get in the runner easier.

That would work I guess. It would hinder you offroad though.

I say keep the sliders close to the body and just pick her up and toss her in!

lol ya sounds good but kinda awkward if my mom or sister wants a ride... My runner gets used for alot of trips and so typically there are 4 ppl in my car so just wanted something they can get into somewhat easy. Like my sister and gf can baerly get in now but ill prob just run it flat and park next to curbs so they can get in. haha

Sounds like it's almost time for a cheap daily driver! I'm in the same situation. I've decided to keep her old crappy accord and just buy another 4Runner. Looking for about an '02.

little expensive, but they do the trick, and would look way better. just need to be able to mount your sliders around them
