Adding toggle switch for DRL

I installed HIDs on my 01 Runner but the DRLs are on all the time. Does anyone know the best way to add a switch tot he DRLs so they aren't on all the time?

Thanks Elton! will i still need to cut the green/black wire to complete the process or just DRL. i don't want to cut something doesn't need to be cut. it kinda tight under the dash.

If all you want is to disable drls on a 01-02 4Runner, just cut Pin 12 - Black/Yellow wire, at the DRL module under the dash. Takes less than 5mins.

If you want on/off function, run a switch inline.

ya dude i would do wat rock slide said but there really isnt a point to having a switch for the DRL if u have HIDs... i would do wat most of us jsut do and cut it and leave it at that. Having the ON/OFF function with HIDs will just shorten the lifespan.

If you are gonna make DRL's a switch you might as well just not, and when you want headlights use the headlights switch. Seems stupid to have 2 switches doing nearly the same thing (I know the headlights switch turns the tailamps on).

Any reason this won't work on a 2000 model year?
