Windshield replacement or repair

I contacted a guy about buying a 98 sr5. Everything seems good except a 13" crack in the windshield. Worst case scenario, what does it cost to replace one, I would think it would be very high? Also a somewhat smaller concern, it has right at 100k miles but he said a mechanic told him the timing belt was okay, I thought those were due for replacement at 90k?

Thanks for the help,
Maxil

I got my windshield from Diamond in 2004 for $212 installed, in my driveway. It''s Mexican, but visually identical to OEM and tight as a drum for 5 1/2 years.

I ran my TB until 120K before I swapped it. TBH, your WP is likelier to fail than the TB. (If the TB fails, it is probably BECAUSE of the WP). I could have run both a lot longer, but it is good to eyeball that stuff every ten years or so to start, then every 50k or so, IMHO.
