3RZ 4runner Progression

Bought my 4runner mid last year as a DD since I don't drive my Supra on the street too often.
Anyhow I didn't want a V6 all goodied out 4runner. I wanted something cheap and decent on gas. So I said If I ever come across a 4runner it would have to be a 5spd 4cylinder.
Luckily within the same month someone traded one in at the dealership I work at. It was female owned and driven. Everything worked, had some makeup stains inside, and mall door dings on the outside. Nothing too serious for me as it was just going to be the daily beater.

Well after the 1st 3 months I got bored and had the windows tinted 5% all the way around.

Paint was faded although you can't tell in the pic there and I buffed it with some 3M products that took up the day and then waxed it. Keep in mind this is a pic of it dirty and dusty the thing still shines!

The window tint isn't enough to subside my need to do something else to the truck. So I got myself an AVS bug shield, Wade IC VV's, and I finally decided to throw on my Tundra 18's I had lying around with TRD center caps.

Of course I'm running around on 32's with stock suspension it looked a little too goofy so I decided to lift it with the tried and true OME lift and it looked much better. Along with installing some micro DE fog lights, a new sport hood, and some speedhut custom gauges that I'll get a pic of later.

Here it is as of today, just recently sprinkled outside as well.

I still haven't installed my locker just yet. But I have a few more things I plan to do to it soon hopefully. Next up is some fender flares!

Nice ride. Yeah, give us some photos of the gauges too, if you don't mind. I've always wanted to know how those came out.

I will as soon as I find my digital. The phone pics don't come out as well. Might end up having to buy a new camera lol

man, the sport hoods really do make our trucks look tougher.

How's the difference with the lift? I was afraid to lift mine since it's already slower than almighty hell.

Big difference as far as ride goes. Of course it stiffened her up and honestly to me that's how the truck should feel. I can feel the road alot better and anticipate how the truck will handle alot better.
What made the truck slower was the wheels for me. I'm sure there are lighter wheels out there that'll help the problem somewhat but for my daily commute it's just fine. I don't have to blast up freeway on ramps so driving around is pleasant. The motor is all stock. I've been kicking around the idea of boosting the 3rz but I would want to find a spare engine and build it before I do so. Hell even a 1uzfe would be nice.

Still haven't found my camera so I suppose sometime this week after work I'll go out and by a new one. Sorry bigtime
