Replacement Badges

What are peoples' favorite sources for replacement badges for 3rd Gens?

I have a Limited with the gold badge kit, and I want to swap out for silver badges (the gold ones just look so 90s tacky).

I've been looking around eBay and there are plenty of sellers with one or two pieces, but I was thinking on getting one of everything and hoping someone had a kit of all of them together.

The other alternative, of course, is to remove and paint them -- which might be an option at some point -- but I was curious if there was a good source for badge kits.

I guess the 3rd option is to get a Hilux Surf SSR-G badge kit! Any favorite sources of Hilux stuff for forum members? I just recently got back from a tour in Europe with the military, and am kicking myself for not buying up this stuff while I was there (I didn't have a Runner at the time!).

The gold ones range from great to not so great.

Here's the worst one:

I'm also missing the "Limited" badges from the C-pillars...the previous owner started to de-badge and never followed through.

If I painted, I would probably paint them dark metallic gray, as that's what the trim color is.

Toyota parts zone has them for example

Decent prices from Toyota Parts Zone and I would bet TRDPARTS4U.com has them also and those guys are just dead on nice guys.

Pics are down at TPZ right now so if you can a view of the parts pics somewhere-then you can be sure of what you are ordering.

I debadged and got rid of my gold badges also and bootown if you want some I will of course make you sir a great deal just to get rid of them. 4wd one went to Belize Off Road guy over on Yota Tech but I have the SR5 and 4Runner ones still.

Stunningly there is not a big demand for SR5 badging....

I peeled all of my gold nasty's off as it looked too cluttered. The two remaining T's I spray painted black and looks just fine and was free.

If you remove them follow these steps for the easiest process:

1) Heat and fishing line
2) One of those 3m style eraser wheels for all the adhesive
3) Goof off or similar
4) Clay bar and buffing compound
5) Wax

i have a full silver set for the tailgate - all brand new, silver. give me an offer if you're interested. it would be shipping from 98119.

edit: forgot to mention i have a limited so it's a limited badge not sr5.

to add to the list

a spray bottle of soapy water comes in handy to keep the badge and the adhesive lubed up as you cut it away with fishing line or dental floss.

hardest part for me was keeping the floss from cutting into my finger tips. A hair dryer to heat up the adhesive is a great idea from run runner

Cool, thanks for the words. Looks like I'll have to simply de-badge first, and then see where to go from there.

I debadged last week because a body shop put them on in the wrong places. I have the old badges, but wanted to know where I could buy new ones with the adhesive already on the back. Does anyone know where I could get them at a reasonable price. I would want the silver Toyota, 4Runner, and SR5.

Thanks.

Thanks. I stopped at AutoZone and picked up some 3M Foam Tape. I'll try to cut it to pieces and apply them myself. Just need to figure out the correct locations. I have a picture, but was hoping to find measurements somewhere.

"Hell! We don't need no stinkin' badges."

What's wrong with you guys? This post has been out for months and no one has a smart-ass come back.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

check out what this guy did to his gold emblems, he didn't even have to take them off.
by the way cutting out little shapes in that 3m tape is a pain! it blows!
