It's time for a Brake Upgrade. Need Opinions

Okay, so I've decided to upgrade my brakes from the wimpy stock ones on my 4Runner with the Tundra 231mm (13WL, I think) calipers with new rotors and brake pads. I've read several of the threads out there on how to do it, step-by-steps and everything (post by post) so I've got a pretty firm grasp on how to get it done. My question now is what does everyone recommend on brands and who should I purchase the calipers, rotors, and pads from? Should I try and get some at a junk yard, buy them from an auto place like AutoZone, and what should I look for?

Just as an FYI, I'm doing this because I'm starting to pull a pop-up camper more frequently behind me up and down through the Colorado Rocky mountains and need some more braking power (especially due to my camper not having any brakes of its own). It scares the crap out of me that I can't stop quickly enough if needed to. I want to get this swap done ASAP, so your comments and opinions are greatly appreciated!

Also, if you have some great tips that aren't in those massive posts about the brake swap, you can definitely put them here too!

When I did mine, I got calipers from NAPA - they came in bare and I neglected to paint them. within a few weeks they were totally rusted. Shortly thereafter, one of them started leaking from where they clamp together. Luckily, NAPA has a 1 yr (or maybe longer?) warranty, and I ordered some new ones. They came, and I was pleased to see that they were already painted (gloss black). So far no problems from these ones - knock on wood. I think I paid a little over $100 for each caliper with a price match deal.

For rotors, I used Brembo's that I got off amazon.com (cheapest brembos I could find). Pads are stock tundra from the dealership.
Hope that helps.

I was supposed to do my Tundra 231mm brake swap yesterday but things didn't work out.

I would do what tineman06 says, stock replacement calipers, stock replacement pads, and brembo rotors.

NHT sells powdercoated calipers but they're expensive.

Did you get yours directly from a NAPA store? I called a local shop and they gave me the quote of $110.33 for just the calipers, no brake pads. Was there a specific model number that you can recall I can look up? Or did you buy them online? Thanks!
