I see a lot of 3rd gen owners seem to like a little rake in their stance. I find this funny as with every other vehicle it seems people want to take the rake out and have them leveled, hence all the leveling kits.
Is it that 4runner look better with some rake vs leveled?

I personally prefer 4runners with the rake over leveled stance, even under load the rear end won't look saggy. Alot of guys get the SS 1.2 kit and that has atleast 1-1.5" rake..It looks and performs good...again it's down to personal preference..

I get the occasional nods and look backs...hmm I must've done something right.
The flares really added to the character of the truck, man what a sigh of relief seeing all the flares lined up the way they did..felt a sense of pride after..hehe!

Like blcktpgsr said, a little rake looks aggressive, and when it's loaded it doesn't sag. For me, the bottom line is: if the rear end is saggy or even slightly lower EVER, it makes the truck looks old and neglected.
I've got my spacers in the rear of mine now as well, and gave me about 1.25" of rake. I like it alot....I guess I should take some pictures...since I never have.

Wow, your 4Runner really did go through a great transformation indeed! It looks sick-as mentioned earlier, your attention to the small details of your truck really do make it stand out!

Back when I didn't have the lift and all the add-ons, I had another members 2nd gen as my wallpaper on my computer. But thanks Fightman, I appreciate that alot.

10 days later....I have upgraded my braking system to Tundra 231mm calipers, rotors and brand new pads, it's a definite improvement over stock..after trimming the brake dust shields and bleeding..there was no spongy feel after but rather a firm on the dime braking.
one side painted black
also added more lighting on my roof rack to match my PIAA's up front, took me a good 2 days to mount, run and tuck the wires as stealthy as possible. they are switched in pairs. total of 8 14ga. were used to run them.
Lights On
mechanically and aesthetically balanced.
