Those screws, like all Phillips head screws on Toyota cars and trucks, are JIS standard. You need a JIS screwdriver or THEY WILL STRIP every time if at all tight. An American SAE Phillips driver will cam out so they strip.
JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard)
This should be part of ANY DIY on cleaning the MAF. If no one has boogered them previously, they come out just fine with a JIS. I highly recommend the Vessel brand drivers. Even if stripped by an SAE driver, the JIS tool goes in deeper (that's what she said) and often can remove what is thought to be a screw stripped beyond repair.
