droop the lower arm down some more. then hit it with a hammer. one it goes it will pop right out.

you can use a hammer to whack it out, but the new one needs to be pressed in. So why not remove the spindle and take it to a shop where they can press out the old one and press in the new one? It's possible to hammer in the new one using a large socket but you could ruin or misalign it.....

so i ended u pulling the spindles and going to a backwoods machine shop to have them pressed in. What didnt know is the i was basically gonna pay some guy 40.00 bucks to do the work myself and use his press because he would have destroyed everything

anyway front end is done
new upper and lower ball joints , TRE, shocks , shock mounts.

now on to the steering rack bushings and rear shocks

3 more questions

1- theres no way to get that middle bolt out of the steering rack so i did not get the steering rack bushings done. Does any one have any hints tips tricks on that one? i can get a box end on the nut and used another longer wrench as a cheater but it would not budge. Or if anyone is near the greensbor area help a guy out.

2- the rear shock upper nuts i have read the tips and such but mine do not seem to want to budge. Can i just use a grinder and cut thru the piston and will that work?

3- does anyone have a spec sheet on what the alignment specs are? i had firestone due an alignment after all the work done today and now the truck drifts/pulls right where as it didn't before i did the work or even when i was driving to firestone with the alignment completely out of whack. So im bring it back tomorrow to have a new tech redo it and give me the print outs of before and after. however i would like the toyota specs to hand them

thanks

Regarding #1 - the nut is welded on! Turn the other side. You might want to wait on the alignment until the rack bushings are done.

#2 - yes. I just cut that it off right below the top mount, don't waste your time trying to salvage the stock stuff.
