Need help deciding!
I'm looking to buy my first runner and my gf's sister has a 2001 Sr5 4WD with 108,000 miles that was her daily commute. It looks like it just came off the showroom floor and has never been off road. She decided she wanted a prius instead so they are looking to sell the runner. They're asking 9,500 but offering it to me for 5,000, should I jump on this because to be honest I really have not looked into the pricing.

That's what I keep hearing from everyone. I want something dependable to drive back and forth to school especially in the winter and I like the comfort of an suv because I'm 6'3 and need the space to spread out and do some hunting and love off roading.

The only issue is an oxygen sensor and her husband told me if I were to buy it he would pay to have a new one installed by the dealership and also pay the taxes and registration fees and if I wanted a complete tune up with new plugs and wires, jsut the whole deal.
And what is this pink milkshake issue I keep hearing about? Something I need to be concerned with?

If he's willing to do all that I would go over there right now and buy it. Sounds almost too good to be true.

If it really runs and looks good, you will not come across another deal like this ever again so get it before someone else offers her $8 or 9K. With only 108K, the strawberry milkshake probably isn't going to happen for a long time (if ever) so you have a while to research it and figure out if you want to get an external tranny cooler or just a new radiator. The 02 sensor is ~ $200 job p&l. Plugs and wires is ~ $150 p&l (at the dealer). Grab it!!!

That is a smok'n deal!
You will not be sorry. If you continue to keep it in good condition and maintain it, it will easily last well over 300K+ miles.
There is a reason a lot of people here and elsewhere swear by them.
Welcome & can't wait to see the pictures!

Thanks. Another quick question: once I get it I want to get new seat cloth or leather because of normal stains because of pets and kids. I'm not too concerned about the back seat because my dog will be traveling but would like to replace the front cloth, any possible way to switch to leather?
