Question Warning Brake Light on

I just changed one of my rear axle shafts out in my 1999 4runner. I had to switch over the brakes and everything.

Now, I am having an issue with the brake light on. I filled it back up with brake fluid. I have attempted to cleed the brakes, however it does seem to pump up to pressure anymore. It's almost like the back brakes aren't working for some reason. The hoses and everything look like that are screwed in.

Is there any reason for this light?
and what can I do to fix it?

thanks!

If the MC reservoir went dry during all this, the MC may need to be bled before you do bleed the rest of the system. See the procedure in the on-line FSM, it's pretty easy.
