Water Temp Gauge

Guys, over the past couple of weeks I've noticed the water temp gauge on the gauge cluster has been getting lower and lower. My SGII shows normal it's just the cluster gauge isn't accurate. Is this common?

I haven't done anything about it yet but I'm going to replace the temp sensor when I get a chance. Can anyone give me a clue as to where it's located on the 3.4?

I think it is a common issue. My temp gauge never gets above middle and always ready straight across. however my SGII will read 190-215 while dash reads middle.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. My gauge on the gauge cluster barely moves above the bottom. It's always sits at about 1/4 way.
