Now that the running board's are off I would take a nice sharp utility knife and trim off the black lower portion on the rear mud flaps. You still keep a little protection of the sport fender mud flaps but dont have to worry about em'. I almost ripped mine off on a wheeling trip, now they are far enough away you don't have to worry. And its free!

Lol. I guess there comes a day where every twin goes his own way looking for a little self identity.
Sliders in Jan. I told my friend I'd wait for him to have the time to weld his sliders on at the same time. He's killing me!
I might trim the rear flaps when I have to trim the front wheel wells after I install the new bumper. We'll see.

Your 4Runner:
"You know what makes me sad!!! All you 4Runners with stock front bumpers. Why don't we head over to mamby pamby land and find some front end protection for you, you jackwagons!!!!"
I love seeing this bumper on your 'runner because it gives me a crystal clear idea of what a tube bumper would look like on mine. However, I am still going to have to go with a plate bumper.
This is one of the better looking tube bumpers I've seen though... the thing I really like is those lower tubes you had them add on. They visually (and structurally) connect everything together and make it flow when you look at it. Looks tough man, congrats.

Thanks. I really like it. I think you're either on one side or the other. I personally think the tube bumpers fit the lines of the 3rd gen the best, but the plated bumpers look amazing to me as well. 6 to one I guess.
And I'll enjoy seeing what a plate bumper will look like on yours/mine.

Hepar, I'm not a fan of tube bumpers... but yours came out awesome! I agree with BigFish, those lower tubes brought it together. Congrats!

What's the backspacing on your ProComp's? There was another thread with someone who just got those same wheels with 4" backspacing, and they seems to stick out a bit further than yours. I have a Sport edition as well, and real close to pulling the trigger on the wheels.

They're the same. 4" backspacing. Was theirs on one without the bigger flares? It pushes them out to the edge of the flare but not a bit over. I think it's perfect.

Looks great, one of my fav tube bumpers. Do you get much light out of those fogs though? Seems like going with smaller units that can cast their whole beam would be more efficient.

I love that geico commercial.
Rig looks sick Hepar. The bumper turned out great, and it looks good with that Thule rack.
