Hepar's Build Thread
Here are pics of it the day I brought it home.
Since then I've lifted it 3", new rubber and wheels, tinted the fronts, new thule rack and a new exhaust. Far from done. Trying to decide now what to do with the running boards. I like the looks of them without better, but I also like being able to get to my rack with surfing.
Currently:

Take them off, then open the door and stand on the floor or the tires to get to the roof rack. It's not so bad.
It is interesting to look at yours, I havn't seen many on here that have a lift and the running boards still on them. I think the lift makes the difference between having them on, and removing them even bigger.
It almost looks contradictory, the sweet wheels and knobby tires, against the tame look of the running boards.
There's my vote

wow you have gotten a lot done quite quickly
great looking ride- I really like those body colored bumpers. Sport Hood with scoop drool drool. Sport flares very nice-and matching the body color.
Side steps and better trail protection easily solved with rock sliders.
All Pro Off Road is close to you in Hemet CA I believe. I swear by their "bump out at rear" design. Saved my rear quarter panel once already from a nasty boulder. Some grit at top makes a safer step loading a wet board or boat.
Like those swiss cheese rims in black.
Glad to have you aboard.

Sweet. Look forward to seeing your future truck. Just be patient and picky. You'll be happier in the long run if you don't settle.

Thanks. Are those sliders bolt on or welded?

Looks really good. How is the ride on the All Terrains? I am thinking about getting those tires, but I know they only sell them in E load range.

Ride is awesome. Third set of BFG AT's. Don't think I would buy another tire simply because they both perform great in all conditions and they last a LONG time.

my All Pro Sliders are welded on.
Opinions vary on this but I am convinced that if you want your sliders to serve as a jacking point-to support the entire weight of the vehicle-then they need to be welded in place.
Others like the idea of being able to remove their sliders and transfer them to another vehicle for example...
Poweder coating was $80 or so. Welding was $75. Total investment about $300.
Peace of mind trail protection and stylin' step points-priceless.

Sliders are here! Will post pics after they're on. Does anyone know the mounting of the 4x sliders? I bought two sets. One for mine and the other for my friends '01 Tacoma. They came with 14 legs. 4 long ones, 6 medium ones and 4 short ones.
