Rear Coil Spring Spacer - Toyota 4Runner Forum

Hi guys!
I have Daystar's rear spring spacers to install and I would appreciate to learn from you about installation tips. Should I have a coil spring compressor to do this job or I can manage to do it without it?

You can get them in there without needing any of that. Not my personal experience on a 4runner but what I've been told. I'll be doing mine soon and already did the research.

Hope this helps. You shouldn't have to disconnect the rear panhard but def unbolt the swaybar.

I ran across a set of coil spacers that someone is selling. hes selling 2 sets. a 2.5'' and a 1.5 '' ....im total noob here so need some clarification.

i didnt get too much info from him other than that they were 2.5'' and 1.5''
can i buy both and use a set for the front and a set for the rear?
these are going to be on stock coils..lol

unless they are front and rear u cant bc the rear coils are wider then the front coils so if the spacers are both meant for the rear they will not fit properly on the front stock coils...

thought so. lets say i got the 2.5 spacer and put in the rear. u think i get less than 2.5 '' or around 2.5? just wondering coz if i get under 2'' then i wont be getting the 1.5''

ull prob get around 2.5" in the beginning but itll sag so ya i wouldnt get the 1.5" since its not much lift and itll look almost stock after a while.

I installed my 1.5" daystar spacers several months ago. It was a huge pain....but only for one reason: I didn't use a jack to jack up the opposite side of the axle that I was working on. Since I didn't do that, I had to use spring compressors, and have my dad stand on a drum and push down as hard as he could on the side I WAS working on to try and get the clearance to put them back in.

Take the lower shock bolts out, disconnect the sway bar and the panhard bar, and make sure you don't break the brake line. Other than that, it should be too bad.

after a while. how long lol a year or two? coz if its less than that ill just keep saving

Should I disconnect both shocks and both panhard bars and do both springs in one shot or keep one side connected and work with another one? Confused.

Disconnect all of it, so the axle is completely "free". Support the center under the differential with a jackstand, and then use your jack to lever the axle over the pivot point of the jackstand to free up room on each side at a time.

im not exactly sure how long before they begin to sag since i nvr owned spacers but i think its over like 3 or more years... My cousin had a grand cherokee and had spacer lift on it and we didnt notice any sag at all; he owned it for 4 years.

sweet! thats good. in 3 years..i think i'll have a different care. hopefully an is300 of is250. if not than a 4x4 3rd gen
