Stock Height measurements, help wanted

I'll edit this post as we go along.

How may times have you been asked...
"How much lift do you have?
Or, How much lift did you get with your setup?"

I would like to compile a list of stock heights of 3rd gen 4runners. I would like everyone's help. If you see one or know someone that has a stock height 4runner, please take two measurements (don't get shot while doing this). Then post them.

I will take this info and get averages for each year 4runners.

This will give us some information on the approximate height of lift that we each have.

What I'm looking for:
Year (approximate will do)
Height of the front (measure from the center of the wheel hub to the wheel well lip)
Height of the rear (measure from the center of the wheel hub to the wheel well lip)

Measuring from the center of the wheel hub to the wheel well lip will take the tire size totally out of the measurements.

If you have these measurements of yours, pre-lift, that will work too.
----------------------------------
It looks like an average measurement (for stock coils) ~20" F&R.
(99s being ~21"). 2000-2002 are still a little shorter.

This is a good reference for measuring the height gained from your lift.

(these measurements are from hub center to wheel well lip)

1998 Limited
Front: ~35.75"
Rear: ~36"

That's with 265/70/17's. I'm gonna try and get some new measurements over fall break.

Right. That's from the ground obviously. I think it's just easier that way. But if you wanted to find the exact center of the wheel and then measure that would give you a little more accurate number.

The measurement from the center of the hub to the wheel well lip will give the most accurate measurements.

This will minimize any size differences in tires and/or wheels.

I know that some tires will push the tape measure out and change the measurement but it'll be close enough.

ya there are too many things that come in to play when u measure from the ground... tire size, rim size, how much tread is left, etc...

1999 Ltd. No lift

Front: 20.5"
Rear: 20.25"

Hmm... seems that my "tall" 99 springs are either totally sagged out or are not actually the "tall" ones that I thought they were. Ah well, I'll be ordering a lift soon anyway.
