Looking for LC Coil Spring Part Number or year and model for 7 and 8 wraps

Hey,

I'm looking for the 7 and 8 wrap LC coil spring part number. I called the parts department at my local Toyota dealer and he said I'd have to know the exact year and model LC to find the 7 and 8 wrap part number. If someone out there has this info please pass it on. Thanks

I told the toyota parts guy I was looking for a 1991-97 LC rear coil springs and he told me that I needed more info because there are 6 different springs depending on the model and some springs will give me too much of a lift. I mentioned the color codes and how many wraps and his computer wouldn't give him any such information. You would think the parts guy would know more about the parts he's selling.

well first off if u have a 3rd gen u need the front coils not the rear. But ya there will be several different springs since there are various heights so u need to figure out which ones u want but im still unsure on how u can get the P/N. Maybe ask the guys on ih8mud?

Did he give you a price? I think they are kinda expensive. I was quoted about $120ea and I believe that was with my discount. Why not get some used ones from the guys on I8mud? The lexus springs will be a little softer than the landcruiser ones and from all that I've seen the 91s are the taller springs. I know that isn't part numbers but hope it helps.

how many wraps you want?

you dont want new ones anyways.

the color code thread is here by the way,

LC coil spring Color codes

and the 91's were 9 wraps,

the 93-97 were all low 7-low 8 wraps

and the 8.75 wraps come of Lexus LX470's

there may be other models that had specific coils, but thats what I know for positive.

I have 3 sets for sale right now.

60$ plus shipping.

Duhockey- What kind do you have? I want a 3" lift with as little rake as possible. What do you think is best to combine with toytec coilovers and an aftermarket rear bumper?

I have 9 wraps now.

they put me about 41.5" ground to fender in the back...

Ive heard stock is 35 or 36" ground to fender

I used to have
19.5 Purple Green White 8 wrap- driverside
19' Double Purple light blue White 7.5 wrap- pass side

with an aftermarket rear bumper and as little rake as possible run 7-8 wraps. nothing higher than an 8.25 wrap. In fact if either of these might work well for you,

19.5" Purple Green White 8 wraps
19.25" Double Purple Dark Blue White 8 wraps

i would probably go with the OME 891's. you're not gonna get it level with any LC coils unless you have a high angle CV boot or you like tearing stock boots.

Well Dylan I would run 891's but when my father called you denied our request to exchange them for my unopened 890s.

Parts guys I dealt with, knew nothing about anything I asked them about regarding my LC / Tundra lift!

not gonna get into a argument with you but you know the reasons why we can't take them back. PM me if you want to talk more about it so we don't clutter the thread
