2WD Suspension OEM Replacement - Fixing Hack Job, What to get??

Preamble: I've purchased a 99' SR5 2WD and the previous owner had done an DIY lowering hack job to the coil springs. Heated / Compressed .... When test driving it just felt like stiff setup and not necessary noticeable height difference I thought among other 2WD 4runners. Upon further driving slightly rough road conditions seemed to remove your fillings. A closer look at the coil springs revealed the destruction.

I've decided it is a must to replace the coil springs and have priced out a set of four which will cost about $150. Also purchased Daystar's 2.5" spacer lift $140. I know it would have been ideal to just purchase a complete spring lift but the budget is very tight considering there is a million other things this truck needs before I'll be content.

Question: When shopping for springs on Car-Parts.com (Junkyard Source) there are different coils in regards to Rim size and 4WD models. I've purchased a set of 16" wheels to replace my original 15"s and I would like the additional height the 4wd offers. But I need something that works the first time around. It is a 99' model if it makes a difference. What should I be looking for??

Gratitude:

As far as I know, there wasn't a difference between 2wd and 4wd ride height. There was, however, a difference in years. Some 99s had "tall coils" putting them about 1" higher then other years.

Depending on where you are located, I have my 99 tall coils for sale, and I'd certainly give them away for less than $150

I believe that 4WD was at least an inch taller every year, from what I've gathered...

But only 99 4WD will you find 99 tall coils, my 99 came with wimpy small springs originally

Really? I had no idea there was a constant difference between 2wd and 4wd

So I could use 4x4 coil springs?? If I were to get the tall springs along with my 2.5 spacer lift would I need to purchase longer shocks?
