anyone install onboard air in concealed location? w/ tank?

i am looking to buy the viair system and am trying to figure out the best way to mount it. i would like to have it out of the way, and was wondering what others have done. esp since i would really like something with an aux tank so i have the ability to do more than just air up my tires. i was thinking about keeping the compressor portion of the system inside the vehicle and trying to find a place below to mount the tank. heres a link to the system im lookin at: Amazon.com: VIAIR Medium Duty Onboard Air System: Automotive

any suggestions/ideas/past project ideas are greatly appreciated.

Mount the tank underneath (pref in the spare tire area) and run the lines up the frame. I had a buddy who put an air reel in the rear storage compartment with the connector end underneath the truck near the wheel well for easy access.

I have a Puma I plan on mounting in the next month.

The compressor in the back right cargo area and the tank underneath.

If you want I can keep you updated.

The tank underneath near the axle and you can also mount the compressor there as well. The thing you have to be concerned about when mounting the compressor is that it has good airflow/volume around it. Putting it inside the cargo side pocket would allow it to get real hot and damage itself and the plastic around it.

I put an MV50 behind the left hand side panel in the cargo area. Here's the writeup.

On Board Air (OBA) - BlankWhitePage

And I'm in the process of hooking up the rear bumper as an air tank. It easily holds 125psi and only drops 0.5psi after 30 mins.
