thats good to hear you got it working, what color did it end up looking like when you got the trim back on?
but yeah ive got a light red which actually is more of a solid darker red, then i have a medium red that is really dark as for blues i have some that haven't tested but they are really dark and should work fine
when taking the clock apart be careful for one, that thing is very delicate and the buttons on it can fall off pretty quick... (like green things like in my pics) this isn't a big deal cause you can just put them back in the trim and everything works,
there 4 clips you gotta gently pry off with a small tool, once you have all of them popped off your good to go!

haha i know how that is with time, it doesn't take long but you always want to be careful... i hate taking that trim off, i always cringe pulling on that thing. the sound is so bad haha, but man once you get that new color your gonna love it! i get distracted staring at mine all the time lol!

oh man was it the trim that altered the color a little? but yeah i can get those out to you, just let me know when you send it over. I've tried the light red, and it that looks almost identical to mine but the dark red which i also tested looks pretty sick id have to say, so ill just ship you a dark red and dark blue does that sound good?

I'm not too sure. Is there a way to make the swatch stay on the clock? it might just have come loose. the dark colors seem great I'll paypal you now.

yeah i used some double sided scotch tape on the ends of the clock, but if you cut it big enough it should stay right in the clock housing, thats sucks though man sorry about that,
ill tell ya what, i have some red left from a sample cut i made, but there is still plenty to cover the whole clock. Ill send that over with a dark blue. and i got your payment so for you and NickF... ill get those in the mailbox tomorrow!
and thanks guys for little extra you have been sending for gas and stuff ill do my best to get these out fast! and i hope you enjoy them like i do!

I just wanted to say congratulations on finding this. Some people go above and beyond trying to achieve simple changes and I admire how you've utilized your resourcefullness. Over the years I have seen some high tech attempts to get the color changed and I think its really cool how this worked out for you. If you have any swatches left I'd appreciate one that would turn the clock a amberish red color. Thanks and good find again!

thanks a lot man, that means a lot coming from someone with one of the sickest looking runners, Ive had these plans in my head forever and cant quite get an exact visual but then i see you 4runner and it gives me some great ideas for some awesome potential.
as for swatches i couldn't find an reddish amber but i did find this one, i put it next to a red to give you an idea.
I haven't tested this one but i tested the #23 and it put out a pure orange with a 32% translucency so this one should be darker and more towards red let me know if you want this one or a red one instead
thanks again man!
