Anyone near Phoenix?
So I found this 4runner and I'm tempted to fly out to see it. 1997 Toyota 4runner 4x4 AC locker lifted
I'm wondering if anyone is in the area that could take a look at it. It is a great price and I will try to offer the guy more if he can save it till sat for me.

I just talked to him and asked if he could hold it for me till sat and I would put a down payment and throw him some extra cash. He said he is going to a car show tonight and will let me know tomorrow if it is still available. Hopefullt it doesn't and I don't mind paying more than asking for him to hold it. I'm crossing my fingers.

OOOOO NIIICE you shouldn't post up nice 4runners like that!! Because now my co-worker wants it!! hahah
We might drive up to look at it... but Robert, it looks like a winner to me. It's really nice. Let me know if you are seriously interested in it because if not, I'm gonna have my co worker call on it. I just don't want to snag it from you.

Well realistically if your co worker can get it tonight then go for it. I can't make it down till Sat due to work so first come first serve. If he calls me back tomorrow I will most likely take it if he is into the deal. You can tell your co worker to call him. At least I know it would go to a good home. I still have some uncertainties regarding money so I wouldn't want your co worker to miss out. Thanks for the heads up Rob.

I'll call him, she is really interested but I doubt she will come through tonight. But hey, if you are gonna fly out this weekend and swoop it up then I'm really glad you finally found one. That 4runner is realllly nice and well done.

Yeah its a long shot but it would be worth it. Now I just have to convince my girlfriend that I need to fly out and drive back. Hopefully the guy would work with me.

I'm trying to hold out, but I just want to find one already. There is one right by my house is the base model with v6 and 4x4 but it doesn't have a sunroof. That is one of the things I actually am picky about.

Hold out man and get what you really want. I got tired of looking too and while I feel I got an excellent Runner, it's got more miles than I wanted and some minor rust issues here and there. Now whenever I see a cherry one I think, "Damn, I should have waited." But again, I do love the one I got and it's in fantastic shape.

Its in my garage...........
Hey guys & dolls,
Been floating around the boards for like a couple of weeks taking in all the good advice and information.
Well, the truck in question I bought tonight. It is sweet the seller really took great care of it and built it right. I've been looking for awhile, it had everything I would want and some. It is really clean and ran great and true to the road.
I once owned a 2004 Ford Lightning, although the boost it not nearly the same, the whine is nice to hear again. It's going to spend sometime with my son, a toyota tech. and should get the continued pampering it has received for the last 14 years. lol.
Regards,
8sm

Ok well I will start off by saying you suck and congrats. It was quite a find and you were lucky enough to nab it. I'm happy it will be one of the members and won't get ruined by some punk 16 year old. Post some pics when you can. Your son has a great dad.
