Anyone on here with the 300k on there 4R.

Mines getting close, still runnung pretty good but just some thoughts of what if. I notice smoke from somewhere near the manifold and heat shield and its using up more gas then ussual. Any problems with yours at 300,000.

When do you think its proper to do a motor swap?

I know Jon, downpour11, and at least one other person have WAY over 300K on their rigs.

If you're getting a little smoke, it's probably just your valve cover's leaking. Pretty easy and cheap fix.

With those miles, you'd probably be wise to do a complete tune-up, and look into getting an induction cleaning done by a Motor-Vac or one of the BG machines. Heard nothing but great results from everyone that has done it to a high mileage 3.4L.

Mine always had the 30k dealer service and it was completely stock until about a couple months ago. I just hit 380k.

No motor swap!

Love her and run her till she breaks.

I'm going to run mine until the wheels fall off. Should be a long time - I only have 96K on her. :-)

380k? Thats crazy.

You also just dropped some serious coin on the Outdoor Logic front bumper. I'm about to hit 170k and had a hard time doing any mods too it, hence the used ARB bumper.

Good to hear.

lol yeah but at the same time, if something happens to the 4runner and it dies forever, I'll just remove the bumper and all the suspension and the wheels and tires and put it on the next 3rd gen I buy.
