I have seen several of these threads but none with a conclusion so I hope I get one.
About 1 month ago my 97 3.4 spent a week outside in -5 degree night time temps. (usually it is kept inside at night)
About a week ago the truck started developing a studder/rough idle during start up. I don't know if these are connected or not.
Truck runs fine after about 20 seconds and there are NO problems, hesitation etc. after the initial rough idle. Acceleration and daily driving is great, no problems etc.
I cleaned the MAF today (no help). From what I have read TB cleaning, plugs/wires may be my next options. I suppose bad gas could also be an issue but I would think all of the above would also cause an issue during regular use, not go away after a few seconds.
Is there a valve or somehthing that controls idle at start up that could be clogged or need cleaning?
