I didnt know that. Good info. I didnt see it at autozone though. Where do you get it?

Got it at O'Reilly's. Basically you just pull the intake boot off the TB, position the spray tube right in front of the butterfly, then slip the boot back on over the tube. Start it up, wedge the throttle open a bit, and start spraying. I did short 5 sec bursts and let the idle come back up in between. Used about 1/2 a can as recommended. Super easy!

Read the bottle, it gives instructions on how much to put where (intake, crankcase, etc). You can put a little in and run for the life of the oil, or put more in and only run it 100 miles or so. I usually put it in a day before I do my oil change, but I drive 85miles a day. I bet more soak time would be even better.

Hmm . . . I guess looking on the bottle is a good idea And it says you can actually run the seafoam for the life of the oil. I put in half the bottle. I plan to drive it for a week, then run the rest in through the pvc valve, and then change the oil afterward.

For those of you with lots of motorized stuff; Seafoam is available in gallon-sized containers for a very reasonable price (around $60). It works great in carburetor-equipped motors, too.

Ya I may run some through my suzuki sv650 in the future as I neglected to change the oil for several thousand miles last summer

OK, I know this thread's been dead a while, but I've been thinking about how I'm going to seafoam my Runner, and I've only seen mention of what I'm going to ask once...
Wouldn't it be even better to use the evap vac line to "inject" the seafoam? Using the evap line would expose the MAF AND the entire throttle body to seafoam, cleaning them as well. The PCV line won't do that. Plus, it will definitely be distributed evenly to ALL cylinders.
What do you all think?

I did both lines.
Yesterday I put a third in the brake booster, a third in the oil, and a third in the tank. Last night I read about the other line on the throttle body. Today I got another can and put a third in that line and the rest in the tank. Definite better idleing and throttle response and I like the smoke. I look like Cheech and Chong going down the road!

I know this thread has been dead a while but I was hoping someone might have some advice. I see that Seafoam has both a liquid and spray can. Is it worth to both? Pour some in w/ the oil, pcv line, and fuel tank while and also running the spray thru the throttle?
Does this make sense or am I spending more money to clean the same part twice?

Putting it in the oil is useless if your oil system is clean. It's better to slowly clean the sludge with good synthetic than it is to quickly dislodge it with harsh additives.
What's the point of putting the seafoam through the PCV hose when you already put the spray version through the intake?

1st off Seafoam is not a harsh additive. 2nd off: I was merely asking the question because when in the store, I saw that Seafoam has both a liquid and spray version. Didn't know if you were supposed to pour the liquid into the oil tank and gas tank while using the spray version for the intake or PCV hose. 3rd: I guess mistyped when rushing through the store as I meant you pour Seafoam in through the intake using either the brake booster line or the PCV hose. Since I bought this truck at the time from a previous owner with just under 200,000 miles on it, I figured it would make sense to give it a good cleaning because who knows how often the oil was changed.
I ended up using the liquid form and was very satisfied with the results. I am looking forward to doing this again this spring.
Lastly, thanks for taking almost 2 years to respond????!!!!!!!

I will be trying the liquid version this week. 215k miles from previous owner, and they didn't know what maintenance was other than oil. With that said, they also didn't do silly stuff to it or treat it poorly.
I manually cleaned the Throttle Body and MAS already. Going to input the seafoam as shown at the beginning of this guide, and change oil after 100 miles. I'll let you know if I notice anything.
I will also be changing fuel filter this weekend.
Loved the reply to the 2yr old post. I have it gave a warm and fuzzy.
