New member- leaking moonroof, drains not clogged

Hi 4runner-ers. I'm glad to be a part of this forum but I wish my first post could be something besides a leaking moonroof. I read over some old threads and blew some compressed air through the forward two drains with no apparent clog. Two weeks ago I noticed some wind noise at freeway speeds. Sure enough, the moon roof leaked like a sieve during the last storm. Soaked the headliner, both front seats and the center console. Luckily, all the electrical appears ok but I spent all day Sunday with a hairdryer drying it all out. Upon closer investigation, I can see a tiny bit of day-light in a gap in the seam of the weather stripping in the center of the forward part of the moon roof. When closed, this little gap is centered over the headliner seam and not the trough leading to the drains. I had significant leakage in both forward corners as well as this center gap so I'm worried there are more gaps I can't see. Has anyone else had this problem? It seems that Toyota still only offers the whole piece of glass with the seal on it for $671. I would love to just replace the seal if anyone knows where to get one. Maybe I'll take it to the local auto glass co. to see if they can squirt some urethane in there to seal it up before dropping $800 ($125 labor) on a replacement. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I would LOVE to solve this problem on my 4Runner. I have a 97 and have been fighting the sunroof leak for several years. Since I live in San Diego and it only rains a few times a year I usually just put blue painters tape around the sun roof and use a towel to dry up the water. Your car will be fine, I am sure.

There are several ways the leak happens but the most obvious is the drains are clogged. If you already checked that then ..... not sure what next step is.
