There was a little power loss going up to the 265/75-16 but not much. I am glad that I didn't go the 285s. Even at altitude it's not bad.

I agree on the power loss. I can tell with the 265/75's that it's holding gears a little longer when accelerating. I can only imagine what it would be like with 285's

I like the looks of the rigs with the spacers. I think that'll be my next purchase.

result in the transmission "rethinking" its shifting due to the larger diameter and or heavier tires?

I added SpiderTrax 1.25" spacers with my 265/75's, and it looks much better (especially with the wide flares). I like to see a little bit of tire sticking out of the flares.

I’m sorry because it’s been a minute, but do you have any pictures from the front or rear?

Lol, maybe woke up from a coma now that this thread has surfaced, question - I have a new to me 97 limited, looking to add 265/75r16s on stock rims, probably wildpeaks. Also going to grab a set of 1.25" spacers. Planning to add a 2" lift in the next couple of months but for the short term going to run stock 97 height with those 75s and spacers. I know without spacers the 75s clear fine, anyone know if the spacers will cause rub at stock height? I've read around a bit and have found any conclusive info. If they do rub, would a 2" lift solve that issue? Thanks in advance for tolerating my newbie questions.

I ordered the standard Bilstein 5100s pre-assembled with OME 881 front springs during a Wheeler's Offroad sale a while back. This seems to be the seems to be a basic noob (me) setup. I'm getting the install this Wed and the stuff is at my work so I'm not 100% sure about the P/Ns. Just keeping it mellow and will get some 265/75/16s next payday (lucky to have been 'essential' this whole Time) and call it a day for now.The previous owner non- A/T tires. I'm getting my LBJs done with the suspension install. Down the road a few clicks it will be a new radiator and a timing belt......then off to the Sierra!
