What the heck is Rep power?
What the heck is Rep power, and why did mine go from 2 to 3??

MI'M thinking it has to do with post count 1-100 rep 100-1000 rep 2.
You just hit 1000 post so rep 3?

If you click the little heart symbol under someone's avatar on a certain post, you can give them positive or negative rep power for that post. The more rep power you have, the more gansta "respect" you get. That little green square (also under your avatar) will tell people your rating when people mouse over it. Then they can know if they are getting their info from someone who knows what they are talking about or some kid who just joined and doesn't even have a 4runner.
BTW, feel free to give me + rep power for letting you know!

All I ever see is that so-and-so is 'on a distiguished road' except that a total noob, like 1-post Chinese guy, is 'an unknown quantity at this point'. I am glad to see rep power is right on top of that particular case.
