Cool 2001 Front bumper valence?

I have a 2001 4runner with the big lip front bumper, sticks way out and what not. On some of the other 3rd gens I've seen some people take off like the bottom half of their front bumper. I think this part is called the valence? I want to do the same to my runner so i have less of the big lip look on the front. Can anyone give me any information, tips, advice, or pictures on this?

you can remove the entire bumper itself (6 bolts), then once its off remove the valence. i think there's like 10 bolts holding the valence to the bumper. then put the bumper back on w/o the valence. its a lot easier that way.

remember to disconnect the blinkers/fogs first so you dont rip out the wires
